The ProCredit Academy marked the final Banker Academy graduation ceremony of the year with an inspiring event celebrating learning, reflection and shared commitment. Graduates, members of management, and the teaching team gathered to recognise the achievements of participants who successfully completed the programme and to reflect on the transformative journey they undertook together.
Leadership perspectives on learning, technology and responsibility
The ceremony opened with a speech from Pablo Groeger, Managing Director of the ProCredit Academy, who congratulated the graduates on their dedication and growth. In his address, he asked whether AI would provide a sustainable competitive advantage. “Whilst AI will become mandatory and shift the market as a whole, the fact that it is easy to copy and not unique to any organisation in the medium/long term makes it unlikely to be a sustainable competitive advantage. Critical thinking, human creativity and values-based decision-making, in contrast, are hard to build and difficult to copy, thus remaining the greatest source of sustainable advantage companies can have,” Mr. Groeger said. He encouraged graduates to apply what they had learned not only in their professional roles, but also within their societies, to help create a positive and lasting impact.

Christoph Beeck, Member of the Management Board of ProCredit Holding, also addressed the graduates, emphasising the central role of people within the ProCredit group. “What makes us special is our people,” he said, noting that the Academy’s training programmes add significant value, particularly in fostering strong cooperation with clients, colleagues and stakeholders across our markets. He concluded by expressing his confidence in the graduates’ future engagement in driving the group forward within their respective entities.
Learning as a process, not just an outcome
Representing the teaching team, Dr. Goran Redic congratulated the graduates and acknowledged the dedication of the Academy’s staff. He stressed that learning at the ProCredit Academy is not solely about results, but an ongoing process. He encouraged graduates to cultivate a mindset that transforms knowledge into meaningful impact. Dr Redic also reflected on the strong connections and sense of commitment demonstrated by participants throughout the programme.

Graduates share reflections on a transformative experience
Speaking on behalf of their respective groups, six graduates delivered speeches expressing gratitude and sharing personal reflections on their time at the Academy. After the distribution of certificates, the guests enjoyed a champagne apéritif followed by a festive dinner.
