The ability to read and understand the financial statements of financial institutions is important for anyone who wishes to take a deeper interest in banking. The skills acquired in this course enable participants to follow up on the financial performance of ProCredit as well as other international banking groups and to associate certain financial statement structures with specific banking business models. In order to do this, we apply the CAMELS rating system to delve into the specific risks banks face, covering liquidity, capital, asset quality, performance and valuation.
