ProCredit Academy held its graduation ceremony to recognise the achievements of the colleagues who have successfully completed the Management Academy Training Programme. The event brought together graduates, members of the teaching faculty and senior representatives of the ProCredit group.

Senior leadership addresses the graduating cohort

Mr Pablo Groeger, Managing Director of the ProCredit Academy, opened the proceedings with a speech in which he emphasised the level of commitment required to complete the programme. He spoke to the responsibility that accompanies professional development at this level and stressed that the Academy’s purpose is not solely the acquisition of knowledge, but the cultivation of managers who are capable of exercising sound and principled judgement in complex environments. He called upon the graduates to bring this disposition to bear in every dimension of their professional conduct.

Ms Amina Durmo, Member of the Management Board at ProCredit Bank Bosnia and Herzegovina, delivered a keynote speech in which she extended her personal congratulations to the graduating class. Drawing on her experience at a senior level within the ProCredit group, she addressed the expectations placed upon managers who have benefited from this level of formation, emphasising the important role they are positioned to play in upholding the group’s values across its institutions and markets.

Teaching staff and graduates give voice to the experience

The instructors who had accompanied the group throughout the programme offered their own reflections on what they had witnessed. Their contributions painted a picture of a cohort that had engaged seriously with the material and with one another.

Participants were also invited to address the assembled guests on behalf of their peers. They spoke openly about the ways in which the programme had shifted their perspective. What came through clearly in their remarks was that the experience had been as much personal as it was professional.

A festive evening

With the certificates in hand, the celebration moved into its more relaxed phase. The garden provided the setting for a reception with drinks and finger food. This was followed by a festive dinner, which provided an opportunity for graduates, faculty and guests to come together in a more relaxed setting.

The graduation ceremony reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to the long-term development of purpose-driven professionals across the ProCredit group and marked an important milestone for a cohort who have demonstrated the dedication and capacity expected of programme graduates.
