This course investigates the period from the fall of Constantinople to the French Revolution. It covers significant events and transformations, including the European Renaissance, the Reformation, and the so-called Age of Exploration. Participants will explore the interaction of cultural, social, and political forces across continents. Topics include the establishment of European empires in the New World, the rise of the Mughal Empire in India, and the impact of the Ottoman Empire. Through these discussions, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of global interactions and power dynamics during the Renaissance and Early Modern period.
