Museums
ProCredit Academy’s second group from the 2023 generation (Management Academy) recently returned from an exciting cultural excursion to Paris, where participants immersed themselves in the city’s rich history and iconic art scene. Led by Academy faculty member Felix Eickelbeck, the group experienced three days of learning and exploration, visiting some of Paris’s most renowned landmarks and cultural institutions.

The excursion kicked off with a visit to the world-famous Musée d’Orsay, home to an impressive collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces. Participants marvelled at works by renowned artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, and Degas, and gained deeper insights into the artistic movements that have shaped European culture.
The group then visited the Louvre, the largest art museum in the world, where they explored its vast collections, including the iconic Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo. The visit offered the group an opportunity to engage with art and history on a grand scale, and to spark thoughtful discussions on the intersections of art, society, and cultural heritage.

Sightseeing and Boat Tour Along the Seine
Beyond the museums, the group enjoyed a scenic boat tour along the Seine River, taking in Paris’s most famous landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the historic bridges that span the city. The tour provided a unique view of Paris’s architectural splendour while allowing participants to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the city from the water.
During their free time, the group also explored Paris’s charming streets and iconic sights, including the Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe. The sightseeing aspect of the trip gave participants a chance to connect with the city’s culture and history on a more personal level.

Educational and Cultural Enrichment
Speaking about the trip, Felix Eickelbeck emphasised the importance of cultural experiences for students’ personal development. “This excursion was designed not just as a break from the classroom but as an extension of the Academy’s mission to develop well-rounded, globally aware individuals. Paris, with its incredible cultural and historical significance, was the perfect setting for that.”
As the 2023 cohort continues their academic journey, this excursion stands as a testament to ProCredit Academy’s commitment to fostering not only professional skills but also cultural understanding and global awareness.
